We hear this every day as we talk to marketeres of large companies, small companies, in service based industries or product based. We have been hit with a wave of WEB 2.0 and although we are all aware it is happening, we are just too busy to figure out how it fits with what we have always done. The staff here at JBM Interactive is an interesting mix of geeks, techno-weenies, marketing strategists and project managers. It is good to understand  how these new tools work, but it is even more important to develop clear, measurable activities that can help you do business. And we know you are too busy to figure this all out on your own. We work with a wide variety of clients across all business sectors to generate online sales leads. The industry buzz word is inbound marketing. We call it BFOUND™. The premise is simple: for years we have learned to spend promotional dollars as wisely as we can, go out and hunt for customers, and hope they remember us (and can find us) when they are in the market to buy. The very nature of New Business Development was to become a great HUNTER. But in the last few years something has shifted in the marketplace. Yoda might say: "a disruption in "the force" - something has created ".

That something is Google. The consumer has changed the way they make buying decisions. Now when we are interested in buying something, we Google it and do our homework. We find a few potential suppliers/providers of that product or servcie and we contact them with one or two clicks. Without question, the consumer is now doing the hunting, yet most marketing professionals do not know "how to be hunted by customers". We have all been too busy getting really good at "hunting for customers". In fact, truth be told, all of our programs, campaigns and processes are all designed to "hunt for customers".

In other words, the buyer has changed the way they buy, but marketers have not yet changed the way we sell. As a digital agency, in Toronto Ontario, what we do at JBM Interactive is help our clients develop smooth transition marketing strategies, developing effective online marketing tactics that integrate well with their traditional advertising and promotional tactics.
